Fish kill ongoing.

See they are still reporting dead barra at Awoonga.

Lots of large fish dead on the shoreline in the bays and the water is very clear and you can see lots more dead ones on the bottom.

They are worried that more are dieing as the water temperature is still cold and lots of sluggish fish swimming in the shallow water.

Looks like it will take years for the fisheries to recover.

It is a lot more optomistic that some of the other posts on ausfish.

There are some very good photos attached to the article. I reckon it would be wirth while to go there just to see the fish up close. I dont think you will ever see something like that again.

Fitzy also makes some interesting comments on the new management at Awoonga caravan park versus the Gateway cabins where we are going to stay.
