Hi

Here I am. My name is Berni and I am completely new to the fishing scene :cheer: .

Came over to Australia / Tasmania from Germany 5 years ago and since 1 year I'm living

here in Northgate. Will make the move to Redcliffe / Woody Point soon.

Was never interested in fishing but that changed completely during my holidays a few weeks ago where

I spent a couple of days at Hervey Bay. :woohoo: .

have you got a boat or looking at getting one ???

or are you happy doing the fishing or the bank

better yet you will be able to fish of the big bridge up there..

I don't have a boat. Can't afford it at the moment and I don't have a place where I

can leave it if not in use.

So I go to the WP jetty , or Bribie Island. Will have a look at Moololaba soon, too.

My fishing was not very sucessful so far . It's a bit more like exercising casting for a few

hours . Caught a few small bream.

hey mate,

if you fish in wello point area try aquatic paradise canals mouth in birkdale at dusk on a run out tide. cast your lines far as you can nearest to the bank thats on the other side. flattys bream tailor and the odd threadfin work there way up there. i have also landed bullys there and a 5 and a half foot black tip reef shark to my surprise. ive also heard of people pulling out the odd hammerhead there as well
