queensland NPD 6/10/12

Went out to NPD this morning, and were out by 7:30. Went upstream until we saw fish on the sounder. First 2 fish were tandans then Dad caught a 47cm yella, then another tandan. After that the fishing went off so we headed home with the yella in the esky for dinner, as we haven't ever tried one.

Nice solid yella.

You will get one eventually it is just a matter of time and perseverance and you will have your photo in Bush n Beach,

When you fillet the yella make certain that you remove the fat from along the backbone and bellyotherwise they taste muddy.

I usually skin mine rather than scaling them.

I skinned the yella, and I got rid of the fat. This yella only had a little bit of fat on it. Maybe next time I'll get one? It will definitely be sent to BnB the day I catch one!
