First yak trip ever with a couple of bass

I recently acquired a cheap 9' kayak and thought that today would be a nice day to try it out. I purely bought it to fish the tight waters when the wind is up.

I hit the upper reaches of the Brisbane River for a couple of hours today and managed to get these little fellas. The bigger one actually turn the yak and put me into a snag. After a bit of underwater pruning I was able to get some happy snaps.

Pretty happy to christen the yak and a new rod on their first outing.

Bit of a change of pace from fishing in your boat mate but careful as it gets addictive yak fishing, good to see it blooded first trip out too.
