Tried to find the size limit on Flounder on the QLD DPI website, but couldn't find it......maybe blind tho..

What's the size limit on these? I have heard that they are great eating.....was out in the Gold Coast Seaway with Jimbell on Saturday arvo and he got a 25cm one on a small prawnstar. We released to be on the safe side.

Flounder are a excellent table fish :)

Down south we used to walk shallow sand banks at night with a flounder light and spear them ;)

We used to drag a inner tube with a net drapped in it or a plastic tub wedged in it to put them in

used to get some good flatties like that while we were at it :woohoo:

but watch out for the Really big ones they usually turn out to be Rays :P been sent on my bum in the water a few times when you step on them and they take off always funny if it happens to your mate though :silly:

Check regs up here no idea if it is legal and dont venture too deep we didn't have anywhere the amount of big bitey's down there :pinch:

Nah bud Geelong region Corio bay

But have walked the shallows well up to waist deep at Ardrosson in the gulf near Adelaide for Blue swimmer crabs some of them up to 28\" across the claws they were scarey enough if they let go of your rake :woohoo:

Rethink never thought of the big biteys they have in SA Doh a diver turns out to be a mate of the ex father inlaw got taken not far from where we lived Sellicks beach never swam there again
