queensland sick southport trip

Went out past the seaway at 3am was still pretty lumpy fished around the 18's got some yakkas and slimy macks for livies floated a couple out the back while used strip baits got a small red rock cod then started to feel sick so I started another burley trail :X Then we moved out a bit further the swell had died down and we scored a couple of small squire.Saw a couple of whales playing and jumping around got sick a couple more times so decided to head back in around 8.30 flicked plastics around got one 40cm flatty but missed my eletric motor assisting while casting the banks but my mates 5m abalone was very smooth in the rough water more suited to bait fishing.

hey stu what size boat do you have?

oh and this question is a little weird but when you catch yakkas do you use the bait jigs with the clear plastic wings or the ones with a sparkly, furry tail. just wondering as we seem to have more success on the ones with the furry tail compared to the plastic wings kind but unfortunately they are becoming harder to find.

did you find that your burley was better than using the \"standard\" burley?.. ...its not fun when ya sick...but wasnt all bad...fish!
