Navionics registration

Hope someone can help, I got a Raymarine Dragonfly for chrissy and it came with the navionics gold card. i believe i have to register the card online. have attempted to follow the online instructions but becoming lost in the jargon. can anyone tell me what i should do to set up the card for first time use

Hi Ray. No need to register the card, it will work straight from the box. The gold cards are not able to be updated. Hope you enjoy your dragonfly as much as I enjoy mine. Cheers, Steve

Lets make allowances for my age and tech knowledge. i have just finished mounting the dragonfly on the boat. now for the bit where my lack of aforementioned tech knowledge shows. where do i insert the navionics card, found the slot for the micro SD card but nowhere for the SD gold card. HELP

Hi Ray, the nav card goes in that sd slot. There is only one slot. Have fun!

thanks for that Steve, i think i may have to contact the supplier. the slot is for a micro SD card and the supplied gold card is an SD card, no way is it going to fit this slot

Check to make sure that the micro sim doesn't press out of the SIM card. Look for a small perforation.

I didn't know there was a micro SD in an SD adapter. with my level of tech knowledge maybe i should be using a sounding rope and an astrolabe :blush:

i have downloaded the full manual and it will become a top read with me for a while i think.

this is my first chartplotter so it may take a while to master both it and the downvision
