Every time someone tries to tell me they caught a 40 kg plus longtail or try to tell me they are northern bluefin I refer them to that website.....

A great website, with some very useful information. I fall into that category of recreational fishers who've never specifically targeted LTs, but have come across them many times. I've never managed to hook and land one, but I feel better now knowing that the average fisherman spends 12.5 hours trying to catch just one.
