went for a look around off straddie today to see if we could find some new ground was me terry my brother and his mate, we headed over the bar just before the sun came up and our first stop was the livie grounds we found it hard to get livies but after an hour or so had some in the well,and the search was on we went past boat rock and found a little lump where we got some nice parrot my brother then got a a nice pearlie and a few snapper and a nice large mouth ,was good day but had to leave around midday as i had other things on might head out sunday,

yes you would think he is a long way from home kurt also got one around that size last year so there slowly coming,how did you go sunday

Awesome trip mate. Makes me sad that I went to Moreton instead of offshore on the boat haha. 

I had no idea nannies came down this far. Great to know. Is that a new thing?

Those thumpers make the others look tiny. Great stuff mate I am glad you enjoyed the feed and thanks for the read. 

Oh and was it the Pearl Perch that spat out the ciggy butt?

with reports of reds coral trout and nannies they could move south in the warmer months

Great haul there mate! I have to give the SPB a go one of these days. I keep meaning to do the Bar Cross course before hand as well. With my Scout I should be able to handle the bar on a good day methinks.

Yep good to go with someone who knows it well first but on a good day it is doable. Thanks to Tugger I feel pretty confident on it now... on a good day...
