new south wales do these lakes hold any fish?

Recently I have moved into a small suburb called 'Melonba' (it used to be part of Marsden Park). 

I have almost exclusively fished in saltwater but now the ocean is quite far from my house (trying to limit my trips to 2-3 times a month now). 

Anyways there is a somewhat decent-sized lake that looks like it may hold fish.

Do lakes like these in the middle of nowhere hold fish? (And is it legal to fish these ponds?)

Considering this is CGI video and the latest satellite imagery shows the lake as a new muddy feature in a high density housing estate, I would think it has not been stocked. It does not connect to any reasonable waterway permanently.

It may have a few small pest species but nothing worth catching I'd imagine.
