graphite pfleuger criterion

hey does anyone have a pfleuger criterion rod ( 6'6 medium action 6-10kg made of graphite ) just wondering what the quility is like as for mine snapped as soon as a bend was put on it.... very pissed lol

no rods should break so easily. where did u get it? rods in stores r usually abused in lots of ways.

tackle world tingalpa.... no joke the pressure applyed was the same as what a decent fish would put on a rod. A cheapo rod from kmart wouldnt of snapped.

maybe it's been played with and since graphite's not forgiving, any little hurt on it would cause it to snag under load. maybe it's me that made the hurt. i always hit the wall or everything else with the rods i played with

yeah lol we all do it from time to time. It was a great rod, just what i was looking for. ill most likley order one from pfleuger them self so that thers no chance of it been a test dummey lol. thanks for the comments.

Only takes a slight scratch to compromise a graphite rod.

jason my diognosis is a common case of clumsieness na jks mate yeh there was probs a fault somewhere in the rod

lol callum... yeah im shitten myself i cant beleive the only receipt that was unacounted for out of all tha stuff i bought that day just happened to be for tha rod that breaks...

oh well, I still got the price tag and remember the dude who sold it to me ( he was going to fraser island camping )they might exchange tha beast for me. id say for sure it was comprimized in someway because it snapped 4 eylits down... grrr

I have 3 pfleuger rods, 2 of which i take out to NPD. I have been snagged with them,caught them in trees stood on them in long grass and caught hundreds of big fish with mine, so unless it was self abuse of the worst kind I would say you got a faulty one.
