Hi Guys just wanted advice on reel selection.

Combos

1-Ultra light extra fast action 2-6lb custom rod (mahogany blank). Light weight soft plastics and hard bodies outfit. (Bream and maybe Bass.

2-GL2 extra fast action 4-8lb. (Soft plastic outfit for Bream and Bass).

3-GL2 fast action 8-12lb. Bay (Snapper) Soft plastics and hard bodies for Bass.

4-GL2 extra fast action 10-17lb (Caldia kix real 30lb on spool). Bay hard bodies and large soft plastics, Mackerel, tuna, etc and Barra outfit.

5-GL2 moderate action heavy 10-25lb(real for rod to be bought later this year Saltiest 4000 would be nice with 50lb).

I have two 2500 SOL and 4000 Caldia,

Option 1 Do I buy another 2500 SOL and have 2500 SOL on combos1, 2,3

Option 2 Or put the 2500 SOL on Combos 1,2 and buy a 3000 SOL or Luvis for combo 3.

Option 4 Or buy a 2000 SOL or Luvis for combo 1 and 2500 SOL on combos 2,3. (I aim soon to also buy another extra light ultra light Bream outfit as the same as combo 1 so I want the same size reel for it as well.

Why dont you just load some of the spare spools (pretty sure someone mentioned recently the Sols come with spare spools) with the appropriate line and swap spools when you need?

id go with the 2000 size sols on the lighter combos. they are a better sized reel for that fishing, and they have the smaller Bc style handle knob.

oh and the 2500 size has the same drag as the 3000 so if you dont need a larger line capacity the 2500 is probly the better option on the snapper outfits
