Went out to Maroon today for a few hours this arvo,caught 12 Bass around 30 to 35cm 1 in the timber and the rest trolling around the banks on the boat ramp side of the dam.

Its a very nice place except for the sludge at the ramp.

I had a good time being that it was a spare of the choice.

I now want to go to some other lakes to catch some bigger Bass they go well.

Sorry about the late replies we just had visiters.

Plasticman there was about 4 other fishos and about 4 ski boats

Brian It was yuk felt strange on ya legs it was 3 or 4" deep

I trolled about 20mtrs of the bank on the boat ramp side from the ramp to the timber and back with a GVibe I think thats what it's called.

Stu it sticks like shit to a blanked that stuff it's all off now I hope.It was still worth it.

The other side of the lake was perfect,I guess the wind just blew all the crap into the one place

Yeap - G Vibes they were. I read somewhere that they don't stock feeder fish in there and teh primary fish (Bass Yellow & Togo) all have learnt to live on bugs and insects. That's why poppers and fly fishing works best in this dam, so you did well with the Gvibes Mal.
