A mate picked me up late this afternoon and we headed to one of his spots.

Flicked small hard bodies in various colours, between us we probably landed over 50 bass in various sizes. No real size to them, biggest was about 30cm but great fun on light string.

Flicked poppers on dusk, really fired the bass up with them hitting the lure up to 5 times.

Wild Bass, my mate landed the lion share of them. He had 4 landed before I had tied my first lure.

That combo doesnt get much of a run, I am running 8 or 10 lbs Nitlon on it. Not that impressed with it, I run 20lbs and 30lbs on my other combo's and love it. Think I will re spool with good old Fire Line Crystal. Its more user friendly in the lighter sizes

Nice work captain stabin. I agree, good old fireline crystal, cheap, strong and cant go wrong!

Awesome mate well done. If you get the bass bug we have a few upcoming AFO trips that are pretty much Bass orientated. On the 3rd Feb for example at Baroon. Would be a great chance to some fellow AFO members. 50 bass though. Thats awesome.

Not sure about the Bass bug Angus, I enjoy my Snapper fishing to much, Will admitt it was nice not having to wash the boat though. I will keep the trip date in mind
