I've heard there is a contractor paid to shot the pigs up around the back there to try and keep the numbers down. dont know if they still do though.

Probably a big lungie. Years back when the dam walls were openned heaps of them came through into the pools and creeks below the wall and we jumped in and caught them by hand and took them back up and re;eased them back in the dam. Some of them easy over a metre. strong buggers too

The pigs are still there even causing problems in the PRFMA lease area.

Used to see them quite often and dingos , scrub turkeys and roos also.

on tree stumps and some dirt sorta clay on the ground you can see were pigs have been hiting with there tusks

Only other big chunky fish in there are Mary River Cod, Apparently some stonkers in there at 40lbs if rumor is to be believed.

Im not aware of carp rolling out of the water like you suggested, slurping food floating on the surface yes and cruising just below the surface.They can grow to 60 lb plus.

Hey mate, first post for me on the site, but I was fishing on of my haunts out there a few days ago and in the hour or so I fished saw easily over a dozen massive lungies rolling and splashing around, I have never seen them so active on the surface, but they were a whole heap bigger in size than what I have seen before
