Hamilton Island Fishing - Advice please?

Hi All

I am off to Hamilton Island on Sunday for 4 days. I am taking my light rod with me and I was wondering if anyone has fished near the resorts and had some success.

Where should I fish and what could I expect to catch?

Hard bodies or Soft Plastics?

What rods/tackle to take?

Need some Advice!

mate you could get anything up there,when i lived up there i used to do very well...baits the go if u ask me but it may be worth flicking a surface popper around for a big gt or queeny...

Talk to Angus he was up there a few days ago.

Also check up on the green zones, some of the islands are hard to get a line wet because of them
