Maroon Dam Friday 19th September 2008

As most of yu would know i headed out to Maroon Dam today.

Arrived just after midday. Fishing was very quiet until 3pm.

The end of the dam furtherest away from the wall was covered in Weed which made it practically unfishable.

However the Dam wall end n near the submerged trees got red hot between 3pm and 5:30

I caught 7 bass all on a purple Jackal. Ranging betwwen 38 and 48cm.

Had a mate Karl with me and he didnt get anything until he changed to a transparent/white Jackal. First cast with this lure produced a hook up. And after a short fight he lost his lure to the fish.

The bass were smashing the surface between these times chasing very small insects. It was fantastic to watch.

when i was there last weekend i found they started to bite at around 2, hadnt got a touch then all of a sudden i had 10 in 30 mins
