We went to the hinze eastern arm for the first time for months and found the shrimp traps in a sorry state.

Main problem is that the fencing wire has rusted out.

One lot had not been touched since July but the amazing thing we still got shrimp out of some of them.

I have now got something to do in my spare time and a good excuse to delay other unnecessary things like mowing and weeding.

Good to have a project Ray!

I pulled out my rusted hook and split ring box and plan to work my way through it while on baby watch In other words maybe a lure a day haha.

Actually some great lures here so well worth it!

Yep after dropping something big at the wall and retrieving my rusty  2 hooked treble I think I need to do the same...

Don't worry  Rob, it was probably  just a  pesky 80cm snap or 90cm jewie, you get lots of vermin around  there  .......
