After a lean session at NPD on sat,I shot down to my sons place for the weekend. In amongst following cows around to see who was having calves and spending a couple hours getting a trail bike going that my son drowned in the creek when the water was to dirty to see how deep it was, I managed to find time for a couple of sessions of skinny water bassing. There was a bad storm as we arrived with torrential rain, this flooded the creek and made it chocklate brown so no fish sat arvo. Sun morn managed a few but it was hard work, sun arvo was a cracker session with several bass joining the fun. Most were taken on 1/8 s/baits with stinger hook and teaser sp, white was the winning colour for the weekend. 1st pic shows the dirty water I had to start with and if you look hard you may see a plattypus

after catching my first, on the weekend , a small one, I can appreciate anything over 30cm must go hard on light gear (well even on not so light gear).

Dan they were all on 4lb fireline with 8lb leader, for out at the dam I use 10lb with 14lb leader

I caught one the other day, it hit the line like a bat out of hell and was dam suprised to see the size was only a little fella.

Dusky it was a berkley single tail grub in firetiger colour, I find any grub with a diff colour tail seems to get their interest.

LGM my son has only just purchased the property 39.5 is the biggest there so far. I have seen what looks like a bigger model in the clear water last time I was there.
