Boat or shore? Shore is pretty hard, boat most muddy banks in the bay will have yabbies somewhere on them!

I've noticed nudgee has a few but I've never pumped them there. Just seen them.

i thought nudgee beach was closed to all gathering

i have dug them there but years ago and they were scarce as hens teeth then

i have pumped them in the brissy river around boggy creek

but again scarce

Hi....new to the forums....I have always found the mud flats at the mouth of the Lota creek and Tingalpa creek junction excellent for yabbies...good luck.

I'm restricted to fishing from the shore at the moment, havn't the cash, (or so the Mrs tells me i dont, lol) to invest in a boat.....any good spots on the bayside area....prob looking anywhere from Fishermans island to Vicky point?...

There are a few blokes who boat fish regulary down that way that are often after deckies (someone to go fishing with), put your hand up and I am sure you would get some offers.

Wynnum has heaps on the mud flats. The only place that has more is probably White Patch at Bribie, and you get about 2 or 3 yabbies per hole there, so it's worth the trip. Clontarf has a few opposite the bait shop on Hornibrook Esplanade and just under the Hornibrook Bridge at Clontarf where the picnic areas are.

What do you catch around here on yabbies?

I have caught Jacks, Travelly, Whiting, Bream , Small Jew, Flathead, Cod and Toads.

Best I would rate as the Jack - it even went airial for me up Cobiki on the Tweed.

that would have been brilliant i've never seen a jack jump before brian. but i've caught a few of them on yabbies over the years along various rock walls while chasing bream.
