Young's Crossing Fish

Are There Any Fish That are catchable at young's Crossing(near Eatons Crossing Road at the picnic grounds there.

It has been a long time since the dam overflowed, but you stand a good chance of catching most of the fish species found in the dam there -

Tilapia

Lungfish

Bass

The bass you can keep

The lungfish you must release immediately with as much care as possible

The Tilapia you must destroy, but cant take with you.

No it is sort of between samford and Petrie

Yeah it is like 15 minutes away - there is/was a nice picnic area there

ok a question you might laugh at what is a lungfish? and why have they got to be released?

Lungfish are a prehistoric species that can consume air on land. They are protected because of their history

Yes Lungfish must be released. But boy do they go hard. When i used to fish wyvanhoe more often it was not unusual to capture at least one or two 1 meter specimens a trip. Always on live shrimp.
