Pin today

Went to the Pin today with 2 mates from work. Pity Stewie couldn't make it! Left from Cabbbage Tree Point at about 6am. Weather was fantastic most of the morning and in about the first 5 minutes fishing off Short Island, I landed a nice 31cm bream. Looked like a good day. Unfortunately he was pretty lonely most of the day as we couldn't seem to get onto anything decent. Lots of bites and smallish bream (around 22 - 24 cm)on fresh prawns and yabbies, a few on Gulp 2cm banana prawns. Moved up toward the Slipping Sands - a few good hits but no keepers, up to the tip of Crusoe for undersize whiting and flathead. Then back to Short, where we got more small bream with only a couple around 25cm. Managed to get heaps of fresh herring and some hardiheads in the castnet and surprised they were not hammered!!

Anyway, the day out was fantastic and the company was good. Most importantly, we weren't at work - gotta love the week day fish!
