New seat for Signature bowrider

The driver's seat on my older bowrider is too low, even adjusted up. Any thoughts on dyi adjustments short of a new $159 pedestal?:S

I know your pain Terry. I've got a Stejcraft bowrider and recently had the same debate. We ended up doing it properly and geez it's good to be sitting higher now... makes spotting craypots, boats, snorkellers etc so much easier.

Maybe a box between the seat and the pedestal would work, or really long bolts and some spacers.

I had the same problem on my stacer, I just replaced the post of the pedestal about $50 or $60 from Bias boating worked a treat.

i replaced the suspension seat on the passenger side if my boat a while ago, lifted it, new seat post. when i went to do the other side, price had jumped $60 more, so decided to replace the post only, well what a mission this turned out to be, getting the right size for a start, so i went to a yacht mast fabricator down hemmant way and got the right size for $10, got the old post out and the new post placed in and cut to length, a thousand times better than the suspension seat. i would suggest if you are thinking of a post only change over to give these lads a try, can get the add if you want.

it's also a lot sturdier than the store bought item, as the material used is much better.
