Boat rental question

hi guys

just went out and got my boat license on the weekend. woohoo!

got tired of going around on a slow-moving/fish scaring bbq pontoon boat.

just putting this out there, does anyone know of any boat companies which hire out the bigger boats (those that need a license) and can carry around 8 of us?

definitely not going out to open sea but wanted to just get out on the water for a day out. calm waters would be good. its just good to be able to hire a boat which could get us to spots in like 10-15 mins rather than chug along for 45 mins for a new spot.

and where would be a good river system to go? we've tried bribie and also tried the tweed river but thought we'd try something new.

any recommendations?

I'm pretty sure u can hire boats some where in the brizzy river for a reasonable price..don't no the name or price...

what webfunk said...Give Rob a call from smartpowerboat hire, he has 3 boats to choose from and fairly well priced...Used him a few times without a drama

Ugly - thanks for the tip. The group i'm taking out want to go 'outsea' and not cruise in the brisbane river. if i'm not wrong, i think they're thinking along the line of bribie/tweed type area. BUT, i'll be keen to cruise the brissy river and hit some of the spots i've always wanted to myself
