Open Season

2.9.09 first chance to get out in the yak and chase wild bass had a great morning casting suspending hardbodies. Caught some very nice fish, the best fish a 50FL caught by Matt my best a 42.Fished another spot in the evening it was a bit slower than the morning and had to work harder for the bites. The suspenders were the go again. Best fish was a 37 by me. Tagged a total of 38 for the day. Wonderful days fishing for Bass a good start to open the season. pic is of Matt with a beutiful post spawn fish the best of the day, lets hope many more like her got a chance to spawn.

mate 38 tagged thats a ripper of a day,i only gaught a few around the 30 mark when i went bass fishing but that was about ten years ago using garden worms.brad

Good work Steve, a good haul indeed.And a very nice fish caught by Matt !!! What was the method for tagging in the yaks ? Was it a two man job ? Can't imagine that part would have been too easy mate.

I'm off tomorrow to find me some wild ones. Yehaaaa !!!
