Better Pastures....

Well its been sometime since my last post due to moving

house from the gold coast to the sunshine coast but

between unpacking and work I've managed to get out on 3

occasions for a flick on a new stretch of freshwater.

The first run through was tough with the unfamiliar

territory however at the sametime still quiet fun

exploring all the new snags and holes. Most of the

trip was spent looking at the environment/conditions

with fishing pole in hand. Over the duration of a couple

of hours I had managed to land 6 Bass on lures which was

alittle disappointing for what I thought was perfect Bass water.

There was no size to'em...Bugger!

The second trip turned out heaps better with a hot day

the day before and alittle rain over night seemed to

turn the Bigguns on! Hitting the water early that morning

saw 30 odd Bass caught and the high light was getting

smoked by 2 heavy weights which both in the end bricked me..

Being fair I estimate the heavies to be well over 50cms!!!!!

Today's mission(third trip) only saw 8 Bass that were willing

to play before the wind picked up and on this trip

no heavies could be found. Overall the Bass were healthy

and had a liking for a mixture of lures but the standout was

orange coloured propbaits.

All Fish were released!!
