Christmas Fishing?

G'day guys and Merry Christmas. Just one quick question, heading down to the tweed river this arvo or tomorrow and I wanted some suggestions on where I could go fishing for GTs. I have no mode of transport on the water, so I am land based. I also wanted to know what time of day, what bait(live or dead), and what kind of rig I should use. All answers will be appreciated. Try at the very end of the rock wall (Tweed R. mouth) on the southern side. I find that the best time is just before first light. Good luck.

do you need a permit to fish in the tweed rvr ? or is it only counted as NSW south of the tweed?

Yes NSW fishing licence is required.
