headed out yesterday to the sandhills to see if we could find any spotties,didnt get any but pretty sure we saw to schools balling up but down to quick for us to get a slug over them We shifted up to the shipping channel beacons and set the anchor and caught kingies but all undersized :(The only saving grace for the day was the wind dropped out and the area in front of tanallooma became a lake with mirror finish and full of bonito.We got the light gear out and caught at least 100 fish .They were so thick that we shut off the motor and drifted just throwing slugs a t calm water that looked like there was no fish but getting hit everytime :cheer: one thing that we did notice was that the size of the slug did not matter with fish hitting anything from 10g to 80g tuna slugs :laugh: Cant wait for another trip asap.Does any one know the take limit for bonito as the fisheries website is a bit unclear with an unlimited take on there site.we threw ours back but wouldnt mind keeping some for flesh baits if they are around next week.Cheers

Sounds like a fun session mate. Any tuna species are fun on light gear in my opinion!

Bonito are easily above average especially as sashimi. Albacore are great eaten anyway.
