Storing crabs

Evening you keen fisher people you...this is actually a question from my dad so please help if you know the answer. How is the best way to freeze crabs...raw, cooked, shelled, unshelled.....PLEASE HELP!!! Cheers

I checked with my cookie mate and as usual Feral is spot on, ony longer then a few days you gotta seperate th meat from the shell. Freezer for 3 months then make crab meat pies and send to me. :laugh:

Bud Andrew is spot on.

I used to spot light Muddies in the noosa river all the time. Tried a few methods but it was always far superior if it was removed from the shell.

However i must say, the quantity of crab i can consume in one sitting often ruled out the need to freeze!

Hmmmmm Mud Crab. Easily one of, if not my most favourite sea food!
