10-15 south westerly all weekend

i would plan my trip with plan b in mind as there is a low sitting off eastern aussie which will probably sqaush against the high over southern aussie this weekend a little bit tricky to predict but look at what the beuro of meteoroligy is saying that saturday will be 15 to 20 knots and increasing to 25 to 30knots later in the day from DI to coolangatta. look at the synoptic chart for saturday and sunday as it looks likely for the low to deepen and bring the isobars on the high closer together which means for strong winds. i would fish close to shore if going outside to nulify the effects of a strong south westerly wind if you can get out over the bar or seaway like the reefs inshore off coloundra and the gold coast or moreton and stradbroke islands. hope this helps plan a good trip

Probably going to be a speed bump for the stinkers at Scarborough tomorrow morning, at least until the wind gets up.

I think tugger is right about the difficulty in predicting the weather this weekend. Between the sites I normally look at there are predictions from 0-10 up to 25-30 knots.

I watch Seabreaze twice a day and I have come to the conclusion they are getting their data from a call centre in India!!!

Which sites are best?

The ones with the lowest swell and lightest winds No rain 25degrees and high tide about 8am :P

In addition to Seabreeze, the following provide good info in one way or the other.

after seeing the report on seabreeze today and then seeing the ocean for my own eyes,i think i'll be taking the tinnie out through the caloundra bar tomorrow morning, for the first time  ( their forecast wasn't real accurate)

maybe troll some lures around out there or hopefully see some tuna chopping.
