Bad water still coffee coloured,good first fish was a bass, bad picked up a fork tail cattie, good got another bass:woohoo:

Started off trying to get a cattie for my shrimp pot, put a shrimp down each side of the boat and first up was a nice little bass,after that I managed a forkie, 3 tandanus and 28 gar and to finish up another bass.

A little trick I learnt years ago with the gar fishing is to use a small red hook. Put a bit of bait on and after you catch a fish quickly cast out again and you can catch probably another 3 or 4 gar with an empty hook, after that they wise up.
