Did anyone see the channel nine new tonight, the big king samon caught in the upper reaches of the brisbane river today.They said it went 20kg'

Would make a hell of a fish to catch from a yak

Wow.

There have been plenty of 10kg plus salmon caught by gys on this site. But 20kg!!!! Thats pretty awesome.

Let the lesson be, anyone who has not gone out the last couple of weekends because the season is so called over, get out there!!!

Id say the sharks and salmon would be lingering due to the crazy heat.

Yes it was up near karalee or something like that, it was up somewhere up that way near colleges. They were reporting on how there is no fresh coming down the river at all and how far up the salt is pushing. there have been a quite a few shark being hooked up as far as colleges at the moment

looks like i better check the tides for a midnight mission to the river.. but, the heat just left and now it's bloody cold. still worth a look i guess..

Air tempreture is dropping but water temp is still hovering around 23 deg.

Slider in the last couple of months Ray, Jeff and a few others have been getting very good catches all the way up the river near colleges crossing.

Its a great place mate.

I plan on taking the kayak there several times next summer.

P.S. Jordan is anither name that stands out for catching a fair few sharks there as well.

And Ash and I both got our first rod caught salmon there this year as well.
