queensland Under the Gateway 27/05

Woohoo - managed to get out for a quick fish again today:woohoo: :woohoo:. Ended up under the gateway casting the shallows to see who was home, nothing doing so moved into slightly deeper water (10 feet) and tried 2/0's with pilchard tails - straight into what looked very much like small tailor; fight well above their weight for baby fish, still beats me how they managed to get their mouths around hooks bigger than their heads .

Word of warning at this point - got pulled up by the water police wanting to look at life jackets, safety gear, rego, licence, etc. If you're heading out over that way, make sure you've got what you need as I'm told this is quite common.

Not only at the lower reachs, the water police have also been up at Kooka the past couple of weeks.:ohmy:

Even checking on the \"SKI LICE\", but not sending them home.
