Been geting some big Tillies at Summerset over the last week with the best one weighing 1.4 kg. Heaps of fun on light gear.

haha, they are ugly alright... despite the rules with them, they taste great! Nice thick solid fillets out of them, fried or crumbed with a bit of salt and lemon!! mmm..

Wow good job culling those tillies, but its a bit of a concern how big they are! Normally see pics of little ones out of dams... They must be breeding up big time

not sure but I think that is a good sign. When the numbers are smaller the fish get to a bigger size. When the numbers get out of control you get a lot of small fish. A may be wrong

Been useing worms and saltwater yabbies, seem to get the bigger ones on the yabbies

Biggest tilly I've removed from the river below NPD was 18 inches.

Lots of small one with few biggies means huge number so unable to get enough to grow big.

Same thing happens with spangled perch.

yeah mate, seen some tillies the size of horses in there. rumor has it that there is also carp, bass, silvers and barra.

If only they allowed fishing there.... would love to use a popper and see it get smashed.
