Bowfishing?

i use to do alot of bow fishing in the bay for big parrot and cod at night. and day time for shoverlies and stingrays

Holy heck madmullet, fish, shoot, spear, and arch. There's probably more I haven't stumbled upon reading the forum :woohoo:

ever catch one with a teapspoon? :cheer: :whistle:

Which bay was that if you don't mind me asking? Did you just patrol around with the spotty until you found them or did you bait the area?

moreton bay. on my tinny i have to big flood lights on the bow facing to the water and we just drifted around over the shallows. but for night time bow fishing you nedd in to be glassed out otherwise the reflection of the rippled on the water make it hard to see

Hey Alldaway. You can only bowfish in salt water. 

I am not sure what species you could target except species like stingray. It is very rare to see fish in areas where you could target them.
