Brian, Living up north is considered cheating! :P;) . Some very nice fish there between you and youngy!

And youngy, that whiting is a horse - what's your pb at? heard of you catching a few 40+ - only ever caught one that size at 42, and I secretly believed it was a mullet with an upside down mouth

Hi Jords, that whiting is 44cm, have caught a couple of 45's but any whiting over 40 cm is a fish to be proud of.

Bit like Brian living up north and catching good fish, i live in the best big whiting area in S/E QLD and am lucky enough to catch some good ones. cheers wayne

I am pretty happy with my effort so far this year. I have only really caught a couple of stand out fish, but I am been mixing it up opposed to really focusing on one style of fish or species of fish. I try and focus on whatever the FOTM is (even though I cant compete) to force me to get out there and try something different! I have also started fishing with MUCH lighter gear this year and am loving it.

Barra Park Barra on 4lb and a 1-3kg rod. :)

I am dissapointed but this 28 fork fish is about as good as I have done for bream this year! Maybe I can beat that at next weekends Dash For Cash!
