Hello ladies and gents!

Have the day off tomorrow and wanted to take the girlfriend fishing because she hasn't caught a fish to date and gets disheartened easily. Just want to get her onto the bread and butter sort of fishing, i.e. Bream, flathead, whiting, tailor etc.

Am willing to drive, more likely after a river system or something where the fish are more confined.Just wondering if anyone knows any spots that are firing atm, as I'd really love for her to get some fish!

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

P.S. I know someone is going to tell me to check the reports but i please know that I already have

Problem is many reports infer that you have access to a boat, which atm i don't haha, so I'm after the opinions of you good folk here

boyds bridge tweed heads or any where along tweed river always seem to be on the bite

Some the boat ramps are quite good

Cheers mate, sounds good, and i appreciate it. Will be nice to take a bit of a drive and make a day of it. Might stop in at the pub on the way back for a brew and a feed
