queensland Kookaburra Park - Jack Hole Reach

Well im on two weeks holidays, so been down thre all week so far (except today - reckon im getting the bloody flu!)

Saturday, Sunday, Monday - Im stoked with how it went..!!

Rising tide, and about an hour either sid seems to be the best... Saturday and Monday i went out by myself, and got several good Bream, 29-31cm on Prawny Soft Plastics and Live Bony Bream, and a 37cm Lizard on a live herring, as well as a few catties, 1 blistering run on a live mullet the ended up my little 4kg fireline being wrapped around a log, and a couple of good sized buck Muddies.

Sun day was phenomonal, brought a couple of mates out in there boat and mine, and around the jack hole we scored about 4 or 5 800g - 1.1kg Bream- extremel healthy looking... Also got 2 small school Jew, 3 Pike Eel, 1 Flatty... and... A Whiting... only about the third one i've seen in the river in the last few years.

How good are the prawns, we're getting a few of them in the nets around al the beaches on a rising tide, and good numbers of them as well...

Anyways, ill go out tomorrow again, and let ya's know how i go

Funny you mention whiting up there. I never thought we would see them up there, but last time in the cast net we got heaps of winter whiting. A good sign for the river im sure.
