What's your favorite bay snapper rod

i am sitting at home contemplating a new bay snapper outfit. So I was wondering what is your favorite bay snapper outfit...

I will start it off gloomis mossy back 6-12lb with a 2500 twin power.

may favourite bay sanpper rod was a lemax storm legend teamed up with a daiwa tierra 3000 reel both bought from this site at good prices. but unfortunatley thats exactley where it is now at the bottom of the bay :pinch:

Thinking about a dobyns champion extreme , gloomis nrx 852 or a samurai 302 matched to a certate ... Anybody had any experience with these on bay snapper???

Penn power stick with a 650 alvey, Penn spinfishers with a range of spinning reels, Penn overhead with a 320gti, a few no names and silstars I can't think of modle nummbers and a lot of others have all accounted for some big bay snapper. They aren't really a dirty fighter so with a bit of patience almost any combo is going is going to account for a few.

Those are all for bait though, maybe throwing plastics needs the higher end gear.

yeh Skippy i have played with all the rods you mentioned,the shimanoomis and the Samuria are both good rods but for mine you cant go past the Dobyns Champ Ex line of rods,awesome rods,but the Dobyns Champion series (not champion extreme) are almost as good as extreme's and for the doe ($230 from the Us) you cant go wrong.

1-3 nitro or nordic sharpshooter with 1000 stradic ci4 and 3lb braid

Yeah I have heard they are awesome but I just love the way the NRX feels in the hand... But value for money hard to go past the dobyns
