Nice Brisbane river snapper

I picked up my umbrella and braved the rain for a Brisbane river fishing session. I netted a few prawns and hoped for the best. I managed to pick up a nice squire but also a few catfish and an angry pike eel

PS: the snapper had pretty bad barotrauma so it should make a nice dinner.

Yeah they were big and plentiful

Nice snapper, I guess it is caught in the lower reaches of Brisbane river?

Live or freshly caught prawns are a lethal bait. Good on you for toughing out the rain. You probably had no competition for prime position! You got a feed too. Well done.
