Little haul of redfin.

I popped out for an hour and a half flicking some soft plastics near a bridge, had no luck on one side but when I moved to the other side I hit a real little honey hole and soon racked up a feed. 

Once I had enough to test out the new smoker I headed home do some cleaning.

That looks like a bit of fun. What plastic/s did you use ?

I was using a 1/16th Oz Ned rig jig head with a 2" Z Man pupkinseed curl tail grub. 

I find a 2"-2.5" pupkinseed or coffee curl tail grub will out fish anything else for redfin in the Hume dam. 

We have a lot of little bullhead bait fish and they are the redfin main food source. 

I tried white, black, pink and dozens of other colours but now I only touch pupkinseed or coffee. 

The little strike tiger 2" leech or 2.5" curl tail in coffee are probably my favourite when I can get them. 

I do a very slow roll retrieve, stop every 3-4 turns and that's, when you usually feel them pick it up. 

Then just set the hook and roll them in.
