Daiwa Caldia

Just gone and ordered myself a daiwa caldia 2500LT. As far as specs go they are the exact same specs as the luvias, just a bit heavier at 190g. Does anyone have one themselves and have anything to say about them?

I heard that they are good for toadfish.

One of the big differences is the drag - 5kg for the Caldia and 10kg for the Luvias, but I take it you wont be running 10kg line on a 2500 ??

yeah nah wont be haha, 5kg should be plenty but, 10kg overkill i reckon, especially on a 2500.

I do sometimes, I run 30lb shimano grappler now on my 2500 stella, comes in handy when I snag a lure on the rocks but is still only 10lb diameter so I can pack the spool up. 

Should be good for barramundi and giant snake head on my 4kg travel rod. 

But usually a heavy drag is definitely over kill so it's no loss here.
