Savage For Sale

Hi all,

I'm considering upgrading my boat to a newer model. (same size, just newer)

I was wondering what sort of value my current boat has.

I understand a person would really have to see it to value it, but just roughly, how much do you think i should try to sell it for.

It's a '94 Savage Lancer 5.4m (+ engine pod) with a '94 Yamaha 115 two stroke

(which has always been regularly service, never given me problems and has a brand new Genuine Yamaha stainless prop. worth around $1000)

It comes with a brand new GME VHF, Navman 5500 colour Chartplotter, Humminbird sounder, outriggers, baitboard, twin batteries, both new running on an isolator and way too much good stuff too list.

I recently spent thousands of $ rebuilding the trailer.

It is now a duel axle with brakes and has rollers down the keel and skids as support runners.

I noticed the old trailer being multi roller was causing problems to the hull.

So after all the trailer mods. i then went and got a very expensive bracing job done underneath the floor.

(which involved removing the fuel tank and welding in a heap of support brackets)

This boat, motor and trailer is in very well maintained condition and if it isn't worth me selling it, i won't.

Please, no ridiculous offers.

This is not a 'for sale' add.

I am just asking for suggestions to determine my boats value.

Thanks for any positive feedback.

I will post some pics but keep in mind, these aren't current photos so some things have been improved.

(like the winch and jockey wheel for example)

Cheers,

Great, thanks guys.

Appreciate the feedback

I think i will take it John Crawford Marine.

Just that some people have told me they reckon i could get $15k-$18K and others have told me it wouldn't be worth diddly squat.

The boat is setup the way i like it.

But it's time for something newer and if i could clear $15k it would be worth my while. (apart form a huge $ loss)

I saw another Savage online.

It's only 2 years old and it's sort of like a bowrider style with a 115hp 4 stroke for $30k.

Looked good except i think it has a Mercrury which i've never been too fussed on.

Anyway, cheers all.
