New reel for my Tuna Stick

Im building a Loomis 12-20lb 7' GLX for chasing Tuna and Big Snaps etc, Im trying to decide on what reel I should chuck on it.

I was looking at these but if you have another suggestion please chip in

Daiwa Certate 3500

Daiwa Certate 3500HD

Daiwa Certate 3500 Hyper Custom

Daiwa Saltiga game 3500

Id like any ones comments on any of the above reels if you have used them at all

There is a bit about them on the other site, about how noisy one of them is and how one of the others mentioned is quiter.

I have a Daiwa Certate 3500HD, awesome reel and cant fault it.

However the new Daiwa Sol 4000 is out. Cheaper and bigger spool. Not quite are polished as the HD and Hyper but the Sol's are proven work horses

thanks mate, yeah I looked at the 4000 sol but I prefer the smaller 3500 size, cost isnt really an issue

wouldnt you be looking at a higher retrieve rate than the 4.8 of teh certate?

something more like around 6ish

but yeah certate or saltigas wont let you down thats why they cost what they do

all great reels. i'd go certate HD myself cuz they r all around the same weight (5grms is not a big issue) and the HD has one more BB.

a few other reels i have been looking at, 3000 luvius (big reel capacity but very light?)

3000 brazino (looks awesome)

emblem pro high speed (bullet proof but on the heavy side)

just a note that i've seen some negative feedbacks on brazino at TT forum, there's a guy posting pics of his brazino with inside rusted badly. i've never used them so i can't say a thing

I have had my Branzino for about 6 months, used it solidly. Fantastic reel but the extra Kg drag pressure and the sheer beefyness of the 3500HD or any of the 3500 size reels IMO would suit the pressure larger Snaps and Tuna put on a Reel.

There all pretty awesome reels from what i've heard and read so i don't think you could be disappointed with your final choice no matter the reel.

Daiwa Morethan Branzino 3000

Equal in performance to the other. Better colour.
