i was wondering if any one could give me any hint/tips/locations for land based bass fishing around twin bridges? ive heard the some good catches have been landed recently but have never fished there myself. any response is much appreciated.

Unfortunatelliy i havnt fishing the area very much. only trolling from a canoe.

i have fished there a fair bit years ago always better in summer up that way for bass your best bet would be little poppers and spinnerbaits around dawn and dust

It is closed season on Bass I think.Does that include the twin bridges area?

good point mal but i dont know how that works because the river is stocked with bass so their not wild as such someone will know for sure?

I guess They can't get past the weir to spawn either so hopefully some one knows the story

You can't target bass there as it is downstream of Wivenhoe.

A closed season applies to Australian bass throughout Queensland from 1 June to 31 August except in and from waterways upstream of Baroon Pocket, Bjelke-Petersen, Boondooma, Borumba, Cania, Cressbrook, Fred Haigh (Lake Monduran), Gordonbrook, Hinze, Lenthalls, Maroon, Moogerah, North Pine, Somerset, Wuruma and Wivenhoe dams; Claude Wharton and Jones weirs; Isis Balancing Storage (Lake Gregory) and Clarendon, Dyer (Bill Gunn Dam) and MacDonald lakes.
