Submerged hazard to vessels 25 to 30 feet west of Comslie Boat Ramp.

Went down to sus out the Comslie Ramp today. (Its about 300 yards from one of our work sites) There was an old fella there who thought we were harbours and marine, (we were driving a Dept of Transport car from the motor pool) and came over to complain. Apparently there is a big lump of concrete about 25 feet west of the boat ramp, it is exposed at low tide, and apparently it is eating props! He said if you want to beach your boat on the sand, come in along side the groin.

Sent an email to Paul Lucas and Transport about it monday, CC'd to Dave Downey.

Dave got back to me and said he would chase it up with the Authorities. Got an email today from Dave, saying that Maritime had gone out and removed it. Photo's attached
