resolved Avatar Letters

Just a query, What does the letters in coloured circles stand for

against posters names.

It's the first letter of your username.

I was wondering that too, and whether people had chosen them or if it just happened with the site upgrade (not that it really matters of course). For example, @tugger and @aussie123 previously had photo avatars and now have T and A.

It shouldn't have changed any existing images, but if it has mistakenly, apologies to those members, but its simple to upload a new profile picture if you want to change it. 

Yes, the letters just stand for first letter of username, similar to what google and Microsoft do on their accounts.

No they didn't, @kmcrosby78. They've not had their own avatars since around 2013.
