Pricing differences for Gulp

I picked up a couple more packets of Gulp today at Big W - $7.80 each. For some reason, I noticed Kmart sell them for $12! Seems like a rather large pricing difference, either BigW are cheap or Kmart are charging too much.

its even funnier when you consider bigW and Kmart are owned by the same company.

Big W is always quite a bit cheaper than Kmart for fishing gear. Its only when Kmart have a 25% off sale I bother looking at their stuff, makes it about 10% cheaper than Big W

Yeah GULP can often vary.

I love walking into like A Mart All Sports and having a quick peek. There are often loads of packets in clearance bins for bugger all. Always worth a look.

from what i have heard, i think they do a preferential pricing system. somtimes what Big W has them for sale at is less than the cost than a normal tacklestore can get them at.

I was in Amart all sports today and got a heap of ecogear and atomic for $5 a pack. then i cut them all up into pieces to do an experiment:woohoo:

i picked up a cheap shimano 2 piece for $20 a few months ago......5' 6" - just a budget one that i wanted to be able to keep in the car in case i had half an hour free to go flick some lures or SP's in the river. seems ok so far - soft tip so not an ideal luring rod.....but half an hour isn't an ideal amount of time to fish haha

Most of them have a reasonable range, the only really poor one I know of is on stafford road. They have about 20 lures, thats it.

i just bought a tub of gulp alive 3" minnow pumkinseed from kmart for 8 bucks... usually over 20 bucks i think

Kmart Kippa Ring had some cheap tubs of Gulp Alive, but I suspect they were old stock.

The pumpkinseed colour looked really pale compared to the packets. Do they have a shelf life???

I have found that Amart Allsports range of fishing gear is probably half what it was 12months ago, upside they are flogging a lot of gear off cheap....

Well got some Gulp for the boys at Brunswick, Big W Morayfield $7.80. Then went next door to Amart and got 3 packs of the equivalent sized squidgee's for me at $2 a packet. (If I want my fingers to stink, I'll use bait!) Also picked up a couple of barra lures on special for $5 each, couldn't resist!
