Boondoomba dam

hey guys

me and a mate might be heading to boondoomba dam for a few days in 2 weeks time..

Really looking forward to it and am hopeing for my 1st bass or yella :cheer:

was just wondering if anyone has fished it? and how it is?

I was there over the xmas break and caught lots of undersize bass trolling, it was like they had just stocked it as these fish were 6inches long, got a couple of nice yellas mixed in between though

I was there last weekend for 3 days. Heaps of bass, alot of fish in the 20's, but if you sound around the deeper water, should find some bigger ones.

awesome.. was out today to and bought a whole variety of lures to take. cant wait :cheer:

Invest in a couple of shrimp traps and a couple of tins of catfood.

Great plan B if you can't tempt them with a lure, and a lot cheaper than a tub of worms.

If the dam fails you, walk some of the surrounding creeks....thar be bass in that thar water!

Plus give the purple lures a go (RMG SCOPIONS,PREDATEK&SPINNERBAITS) good luck we were there australia day long weekend with little luck.Keep an eye on you traps as they will be raided.

Maybe too much abuse on the brain over the years, because I can't remember.... you can fish/take Bass from creeks that run into dam's / lakes during closed season can't you????

tin of catfood. Punch a couple of holes in it with a screwdriver. Put tin in baittrap. put baittrap in water. Remove baittrap later, full of live shrimp. Use shrimp on hook. Catch bass.

hey i am going to boondoomba with dan25 and we were wondering what kind of lures are working surface of deep diving ones. also what bait is working best, crayfish, shrimp or worms.

You cant beat live shrimp in fresh water, I dont bother with any other bait (if I am bait fishing).
