fishing in winter????

hey all, just a quick question, i understand that the bullies significantly go off the bite in winter, but how about the more common species such as bream flathead, cod? any info would be greatly appreciated.

Bream are meant to be winter species Jordan.

As well as Tailor.

Typical Summer species are Jacks, Threadfins, Summer Whiting (der), and yes our lovely bullies.

I still here of all of the above caught in winter though, just not in the same numbers.

Bream are meant to be a winter species, but as I've said be for , they bugger off from the river. I don't know why tho.

Don't forget snapper, sweet lip and jew fish. Best bet in the river is change from thinking treatfins to jewies.

You will find me down at Manly harbour at sunrise and sunset most weekends in the winter, grilled Tailor yum
